Pre-bookings of Kia Sonnet Subcompact SUV have been started in India from 20 August 2020. Customers interested in SONET can book online at Kia Motors dealership or on the company's website by paying an amount of Rs 25,000 tokens. Kia Sonnet's global debut has been made from India on August 7, 2020 and the company can announce its prices in September 2020. The Sonnet is Kia's first sub 4-meter car to compete with Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 and Ford Acosport.


Ventilated front seats

The recently leaked brochure revealed that the brand's signature-style tiger-nose grille with the all-new Kia Sonnet, integrated LED DRL with full LED headlights, dual-tone bumpers, fog lamps, electric sunroof, 16-inch diamond Cut alloy wheels and LED taillights are provided. Sonnet will be offered in 8 mono-tone and three dual-tone color options including Glacier White Pearl, Steel Silver, Gravity Gray, Intense Rad, Aurora Black Pearl, Intelligence Blue, Beige Gold, Red and Black, along with White Pearl Black with black and finally beige gold.


Sonnet will be offered in two trims - the Tack line and the GT line

Like the Celtos, the Sonnet will also be offered in two trims - the Tack line and the GT line. The 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with UVO connectivity has been given in the cabin of the new Kia Sonnet. Apart from this, the car has a 4.2-inch modern color instrument cluster, music system taken from Bose, virus protection with smart pure air purifiers, ventilated front seats, steering mounted controls, drive modes, traction control, wireless charging for smartphones, 6 Features such as airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, rear parking sensors, HAC and VSM are also provided.

Engine Specification

A 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, 1.5-liter diesel engine has been found with Kia Sonnet, while a choice of 1.0-liter turbo-petrol engine has also been given. The SUV's 1.2-liter petrol engine gets a 5-speed manual gearbox, while a 6-speed IMT unit and a 7-speed DCT gearbox are provided with the turbocharged engine. On the other hand, the 1.5-liter diesel engine of the car has been introduced with 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. We estimate that the price of Kia Sonnet will be between Rs 7 lakh and Rs 12 lakh.
