During this period, Baleno held 32% of the total market of cars sold in the premium hatchback segment. To understand in simple terms, if 100 premium hatchback cars were sold in the market between April 2020 to June 2020, then there were 32 Maruti Baleno in it. The company sells it at Nexa dealerships.


Tata Altroz
Tata Altroz ​​was the second best selling premium hatchback from April 2020 to June 2020. In the first quarter of the financial year 2020-2021, 4483 units of Tata Altroz ​​were purchased by customers. Altroz ​​held 24 per cent of the total market in the premium hatchback segment.


Hyundai i20
Hyundai is the third major player in the premium hatchback segment after Maruti and Tata. Hyundai sold 3596 units of the i20 in the first quarter of the fiscal year 2020-2021. During this period Hyundai i20 accounted for 20 percent of the total market of cars sold in the entry hatchback segment.


Volkswagen polo
The Volkswagen Polo sold 2354 units in three months. Polo held 13 per cent of the total market in these three months. It is also know for its strongest body and powerful engine.
