Vehicle sales due to Corona virus saw a huge decline. Talking about the executive sedan segment, only 4,318 units were sold in the financial year 2020-21. However, it should not be forgotten that not a single unit was sold in April due to the lockdown. At the same time, the market remained slow due to the return from captivity in May. However, the sales in June provided some relief to the companies. The highest recovery was seen in the month of June. In this case, if we talk about April 2020 to June 2020, Hyundai Verna has the highest sales in the first quarter of the financial year 2020-21.



Hyundai verna
Hyundai Verna was the top selling car in the executive sedan segment. Hyundai Verna sold 1,400 units in the first quarter of the fiscal year 2020-2021. Hyundai Verna accounted for 32 per cent of the total market for vehicles sold in the executive sedan segment during this period. That is, if 100 executive sedans were sold in the market between April 2020 and June 2020, then there were 32 vehicles of Verna.


Skoda rapid
Skoda Rapid was the second best-selling executive sedan in the first quarter of the fiscal year 2020-2021. Between April 2020 and June 2020, Rapid sold 868 units. During this period, Skoda Rapid held 20% of the total market in the executive sedan segment.


Maruti Suzuki Ciaz
The Ciaz executive of the country's largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki, became the third-best selling car in the sedan segment. Maruti's Ciaz sold 745 units in the first quarter of the financial year 2020-2021. During this period, Maruti Ciaz accounted for 17% of the total market of vehicles sold in the executive sedan segment.


Hyundai city
Hyundai City was the fourth best-selling executive sedan in the first quarter of the fiscal year 2020-2021. Between April 2020 and June 2020, the City sold 703 units. During this period, Hyundai City held 16% of the total market in the executive sedan segment.
