Kia Motors has listed the Kia Sonet Subcompact on the official website. The company is planning to launch this SUV in the Indian market soon. Kia Sonet will make a global debut in India on August 7, 2020 and is expected to launch in the festive season. This SUV has been spotted in India recently during testing. The pictures show how the front and rear design of this SUV will be. Now the company has quietly listed this SUV on the website before the official launch. The SUV will be based on the Hyundai Venue platform and some designs will be sourced from the Seltos. Last week, the company launched the first sketch officially depicting the bold design of the production ready Kia Sonet compact SUV. This SUV features the company's trademarked tiger nose grille, LED DRL with headlamps, silver roof rails with black roof, alloy wheels, sporty bumpers, LED stop light strip at tailgate with LED tail lights, large silver fox skid plate and others.
Interior and features: Talking about the interior, it is expected that the S SUV will have a premium look such as Apple CarPlay with touchscreen infotainment system and features like Android Auto, auto climate control, electronic sunroof, push button start stop, UVO connected tech, Other features such as rear AC vents, wireless chargers will be given. Speaking of safety features, this SUV will have features such as 6 airbags, anti lock braking system, ABS, EBD, electronic stability control, camera with rear parking sensor.
Power and specification: Talking about power and specification, the option of two petrol and one diesel engine will be given in the upcoming Sonet SUV. It has the first 1.2 liter naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates 82 Hp power and 114 Nm torque. The second 1.0-liter turbocharged engine that generates torque of 118 Hp of power and 172 Nm and the third 1.5-liter diesel engine that generates 98.6 Hp of power and 240 Nm of torque. Talking of transmission, the engine will be in the option of 6-speed manual, 7-speed dual clutch automatic and automatic clutch with 6-speed iMT.
