The Maruti Suzuki S-Cross petrol model was introduced at the Auto Expo. It was to be launched later in April, but the launch of this crossover SUV was postponed due to the Corona virus epidemic. Now the company is going to launch it in the market soon.




Maruti Suzuki S-Cross
The Maruti Suzuki S-Cross petrol model is one of the most awaited cars to be launched in the country this year. The S-Cross petrol model was introduced at the Auto Expo in February. Earlier this crossover SUV used to come in only diesel engine, whereas now it will only come with petrol engine. Recently the company has started booking of BS6 Maruti S-Cross (2020 Maruti Suzuki S-Cross Petrol) and it will be launched soon. Let us tell you everything about it.

Booking and launching
First let's talk about booking and launching date of Maruti S-Cross Petrol model. The S-Cross Petrol can be booked from Maruti's Nexa dealership or Nexa website for 11 thousand rupees. This car will launch on 5 August.

Petrol engine
The updated S-Cross will get BS6 compliant 1.5-liter petrol engine. The same engine is also offered in Maruti's popular sub-compact SUV Brezza. This engine generates 103bhp power and 138Nm torque. There will be 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic gearbox options with it. Suzuki's mild-hybrid system will also be available with this engine in the automatic version. In the BS4 version, the S-Cross used to get a 1.3-liter diesel engine, which has been replaced with this petrol engine.

Variants and Color Options
The BS6 Maruti S-Cross will come in 4 variant levels, including Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. There will be no automatic gearbox option in the Sigma variant, while the other three variants will have the option of automatic. Talking about the color option, the car will come in 5 color options as before. These include Nexa Blue, Pearl Arctic White, Premium Silver, Granite Gray and Caffeine Brown.

Updated Cabin. 
The updated S-Cross will look the same as before. There will be no change in its design or its dimensions. However, there will be a significant change in the cabin in the form of updated touchscreen infotainment system. The S-Cross Petrol will have a new and improved SmartPlay Studio infotainment system like other new cars from Maruti.

What's special in the feature list?
The top variant of the updated Maruti S-Cross will get many great features as before. These include LED projector headlamps, LED DRLs, LED taillamps, auto headlamp leveling and automatic headlamps, silver roof rails, rain sensing wipers, leather seat upholstery, leather door armrest, leather steering wheel and auto dimming inside rear view mirror. For safety, this crossover SUV from Maruti will feature standard features like dual front airbags, Isofix child seat mounts, ABS with EBD, Nexa safety shield and speed sensing door lock.
