Kia Sonet Launch confirmed, this compact SUV car will be launched in festive season

Kia Sonnet will get some segment-first features. That is, these features will be available only in Kia Sonnet in the vehicles of this segment. It will include features such as panoramic sunroof and 360-degree camera.Sonnet will be in the Indian market with SUV cars like Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 and Ford EcoSport.

Kia Motors India on Friday announced that it will launch its much awaited compact SUV car in India in the coming festive season, following the global debut of Kia Sonet on 7 August. Kia Sonnet has already been listed on the official website of Kia India. The company has recently revealed this SUV in its official design photos. Kia Sonet is the next major launch of Kia Motors India's sub-4-meter SUV car in the Indian market.

In a statement released on Friday, the company said, "Kia Motors India is now fully geared up to further its achievements with the launch of the Kia Sonnet in the coming months. With many segment-first features with the iconic Kia DNA Equipped, the Sonat will stand out for its outstanding design and impeccable quality. Its world premiere is set for August 7, and after its launch during the festive season, Sonnet Kia Motors India set new benchmarks in the compact-SUV segment Able to do it. "


Design
Talking about the exterior of Kia Sonet, it has very specific and dynamic design. The Kia Sonnet was officially introduced at Auto Expo 2020 as a production concept very close to it. The Sonnet features a bold and dynamic design with Kia's signature-style elements such as a front tiger-nose grille and a three-dimensional 'step-well' geometric grille mesh. Leaked pictures of the car reveal a mid-spec version of the Kia Sonnet. The most attractive in the car is its large wide light bar, which connects two rectangular partial LED taillamps. The car's boot lead is slightly smoother. Although there are bold skidplates provided in the car, they are given a flat look. Black elements were given in the concept car in the C-Pillar, they are also present in the production form car.


Engine 
Due to the Hyundai Venue being based on the engine, it is expected that the same engine and gearbox will be available in the Sonat. The Kia Sonet will be available with 3 engine options. It will be dual-clutch AT with 1.0-liter turbo-petrol, 5-speed manual transmission with 1.2-liter petrol engine and 6-speed manual transmission with 1.5-liter 100 PS diesel engine. The new feature iMT semi-automatic transmission, found in Venue, will also be found in Sonnet.


Features
The Kia Sonnet will get some segment-first features. That is, these features will be available only in Kia Sonnet in the vehicles of this segment. It will include features such as panoramic sunroof and 360-degree camera. The SUV will get a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with the latest smartphone connectivity. This car will get UVO connected connected car technology with 37 features under 5 segments. Talking about safety features, safety devices like dual front airbags with ABS will be standard in the Kia Sonnet.

Price and Rivals
The Kia Sonnet will be in the Indian market with SUV cars like Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza (Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza), Hyundai Venue (Hyundai Venue), Tata Nexon (Tata Nexon), Mahindra XUV300 (Mahindra XUV300) and Ford EcoSport (Ford EcoSport) . Kia Sonet prices may be around the price of the venue. It is expected that the ex-showroom price of Kia Sonnet will be between Rs 6.5 lakh and Rs 11.5 lakh.
