Maruti Suzuki S-Cross Petrol
The petrol model of Maruti Suzuki S-Cross is scheduled to be launched on August 5. It was introduced at the Auto Expo held in February. The corona virus outbreak delayed its launch. It will get a 1.5-liter petrol engine with Maruti Brezza, which generates 103bhp power and 138Nm torque. Earlier this crossover SUV used to come only in diesel engine, which has now been discontinued. There will be no change in the look and interior of the updated S-Cross. However, it will get a new 7-inch SmartPlay Studio infotainment system. Its price is expected to be slightly lower than the earlier diesel models. S-Cross diesel prices ranged between Rs 8.81 lakh and Rs 11.44 lakh.
Honda Jazz Facelift
This premium hatchback car of Honda has been waiting for a long time. It was supposed to be launched much earlier, but its launch has also been delayed due to Corona virus. The updated Honda Jazz is expected to be launched by the end of August. The Jazz facelift will see changes like new LED headlamps, LED daytime running lights, revised grills and new fog lamps. The front bumper of the car has been redesigned, which looks sharper than before. The updated Jazz will only come with a petrol engine. It will get a 1.2-liter petrol engine, which generates 89 bhp power and 110 Nm peak torque. With this, 5-speed manual and CVT automatic gearbox options will be available.
More powerful Renault Duster
Renault is preparing to bring a more powerful model of its SUV. It will get a 1.3-liter turbo-petrol engine. This engine generates 153 bhp power and 250 Nm torque. It will have 6-speed manual and CVT automatic transmission options. Apart from the turbo-petrol engine, the design of this new model of Duster will also get mild changes, which will make it sporty. This new model will get red elements on the grille and foglamp housing, new red color logo, less cladding at the rear and thicker roof rails, making it different from the standard model. The Renault Duster with turbo-petrol engine is expected to be launched in late August.
Mercedes-Benz EQC
Mercedes-Benz EQC is the first electric car in the Indian market to be launched in August. It will be sold under the EQ brand. It gets a futuristic exterior design with LED headlamps, large alloy wheels and LED tail lamps. This electric SUV gets a luxury cabin. It will also get the company's MBUX system with connected car technology. This electric SUV has a dual-motor setup, with one motor on the front axle and the other on the rear axle. It has an 80-kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Its electric motor generates power of 402 bhp and 765 Nm peak torque. The company claims that this electric SUV will run for about 400 km once it is full charged.
