The 2021 Mercedes-Benz S-class has been introduced in a new look, larger size and with more features. The bonnet is longer than before while the LED headlamps look thinner due to the new LED day-time running light.
2021 Benz S-Class
German luxury car company Mercedes-Benz has lifted the curtain on the 2021 S-Class. The company's most important car has been built on a new platform in addition to new technology and safety. Talking about external changes, the 2021 Mercedes-Benz S-Class looks classy in every sense.
Its bonnet is longer than before while LED headlamps look thinner due to the new LED day-time running light. One major change is the LED taillights, whose rolled shape has been seen for the first time in this luxury sedan. Higher variants get 21-inch wheels with chrome finish. Another major change is the new flush-style door handles that give the car a clean look outside.
Interior
The cabin now has more space than before and the boot space has also been increased by 22.6 liters.
The new Mercedes-Benz S-Class has now become 33 mm longer, 50 mm wider and 10 mm higher. The wheelbase has also been increased to 50 mm, with the next track extended by 35 mm and the previous track by 50 mm. In the cabin, the car has got a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system which is quite different from the instrument console.
Mercedes says that the 2021 S-Class comes with 27 fewer buttons as more work can be done with voice or touch. The new MBUX system has come with a lot of updates and seats also give a massage. The car has a 4D sound system with 30 speakers and LED ambient lighting is also provided. The cabin now has more space than before and the boot space has also been increased by 22.6 liters.
Exterior
The car has already grown in length, width and height.
The EQ Boost is a choice of 48-volt mild-hybrid system on the new-generation Mercedes-Benz S-Class with a 3.0-liter in-line 6-cylinder petrol and diesel engine. The petrol engine on the S450 makes around 362 bhp and 500 Nm, while the S 500 comes with 429 bhp and 520 Nm.
The mild-hybrid system of the EQ Boost gives 21.6 bhp and 250 Nm of torque, which is available in short intervals. The S580 is powered by a 469 bhp twin-turbo V8 petrol. All engines are mated to a 9-speed automatic gearbox and come with five driving modes - Eco Comfort, Sport, Sport Plus and Individual.
