French automaker Renault has announced the addition of 17 new sales and service touchpoints in India despite the previous lockdown. According to the report, they include 14 showrooms and 3 workshops. Those added between April and July. For information, let us show that these showrooms are located in Himachal Pradesh, Telangana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra.
Renault vehicles in India are not able to attract customers much, but last year the company launched the MPV Tribar, the country's cheapest, while entering a new segment. Since then, some increase has been seen in sales figures. Reno registered sales of 6,422 units in July 2020. Which is 75.5% higher than the units sold in the previous year.
Currently, Renault has strengthened its network in India with these new dealerships, which currently grow to over 470 service touchpoints with over 390 sales points. The point to note here is that the company recently made some changes to its popular cars Triber and Kwid, after which the company now plans to launch the Duster in August with a turbo-petrol engine.
Venkataram Mamilapalle, Country CEO and Managing Director of Reno India Operations, said on the occasion, "We are cautious given the current situation, but it is also very encouraging to see that we attract new dealers even in times of crisis.
