It is expected to be launched in the market under the name Toyota Urban Cruiser. The company plans to launch this new SUV in the festive season. The first Toyota Urban Cruiser was set to launch in August, but its launch was delayed due to the Corona virus epidemic.

The Toyota Urban Cruiser is expected to get the Maruti Brezza engine. The Brezza comes with a 1.5-liter K-series petrol engine, which comes with Suzuki's mild-hybrid technology. This engine generates 104bhp power and 138Nm torque. It comes with 5-speed manual and 4-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox options.

The Toyota Urban Cruiser is coming into the fiercely competitive sub-compact SUV (smaller than 4-meter) segment. Many SUVs are present in its competition in the market. These include vehicles such as Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 and Ford EcoSport. Apart from these, new SUVs like Kia Sonnet, Renault Kaigar and Nissan Magnite are also coming in this segment.
