Ignis Zeta variant.
The Zeta variant of the Maruti Suzuki Ignis facelift BS6 has now been updated with the SmartPlay Studio infotainment system. It was earlier available only in the top Alpha variants of this hatchback. With the new feature, the BS6 Maruti Suzuki Ignis Zeta has now been priced at Rs 5.98 lakh manual variants and Rs 6.45 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) AMT version. When compared to the prices of this facelift model in February, the new prices have been increased by Rs 8,500. The base variants of the Ignis facelift have similar prices and its starting price is Rs 4.89 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Features in Old Zeta Variant.
The Maruti Suzuki Ignis Zeta variant was previously given a 2-DIN audio system, which is now equipped with a 7-inch Smartplate touchscreen infotainment unit. The Smartplate touchscreen infotainment system is now present in the top variants of almost all Maruti cars. It has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. If the car has this feature then it also doubles as a display for the reverse camera with directions. The touchscreen unit gets a user friendly interface and also brings live traffic updates through the SmartPlay Studio app.
Ignis Alpha variant Features.
The Maruti Suzuki Ignis Zeta is positioned above the Alpha variant. It gets fog lamps, chrome accents on the front grille, alloy wheels, rear defogger, rear wipers, engine start-stop, electrically folding ORVMs, four speakers and two tweeters. However, it does not get LED projector lights, DRLs, puddle lamps, automatic climate control and heat-adjustable drive seats. The difference in prices of Zeta and Alpha trims is Rs 81,000 and the AMT version is seen at Rs 75,000.
Ignis Engine Specification.
The Maruti Suzuki Ignis BS6 is powered by a 1.2-liter VVT petrol engine that generates 82 bhp of power and 113 Nm of torque. The engine comes with a 5-speed manual and an AMT unit. The facelift model includes revised cosmetic updates and features a new chrome grille, revised front and rear bumpers, thicker skid plates, new roof rails and a spoiler. Ignis competes in the Indian market with the Ford Figo, Mahindra KUV100 NXT and Hyundai Grand i10 in its segment.
